So I need to make it a habit to charge my old iPod touch more often. I love it as a laptop alternative when out and about. I still believe it to an awesome device and quite innovative at that. I just need to use it more often.

i don’t believe i’ve ever been so afraid of anything as i am right now. with the BFA portfolio review just 7 weeks away. i’m freaking out. i’m extremely unsure of myself. and quite frankly, i don’t know how everything’s gonna get done. but i need to make it through this very difficult time. i need to find a way to just calm myself. and work nonstop.

So we were attacked by a mystery gift giver late late last night! There were 2 packages, addressed to Kevin and I (we should’ve taken a picture before opening, but was too excited). Both were wrapped in a faux-wood wallpaper/laminate, but with no indication of whom it was from. This was what Kevin got:
A Parker pen and pencil set, and a red Spacepen, inside a glasses case. Inside the glasses case were 3 random slips of paper, 1 looks to be an address, the yellow has 2 phone numbers, and the other is a Voter stub from Santa Barbara County, dated November 7, 2006.
I got a sweet Vintage View-master with tons of awesome slides.
Whoever this mysterious gifter is, I thank thee!

Yay! Today I received my check from Flock Shop!
I was a little worried because my previous checks didn’t add up to the total number of items sold. And the check I received today accounted for the previous unpaid commission. So no worries.

no matter how much work i do, i always feel behind. although the semester is over and i’m on winter break, that does not mean vacation for me. i just stopped by Flock Shop yesterday to drop off some more stuff for consignment. i never got around to listing all the leftovers from Co-Lab. in the back of my mind, i know i probably could’ve made a killing on last minute holiday shoppers and now i have to hope people are looking to gift themselves post-xmas. i’ll be spending all of today photographing new items and listing them. as well as making new tags. it seems that i can never have enough tags!
don’t even get me started on my portfolio. i’m purposely only taking 6 units next semester to force myself to work hard on my portfolio to get into the BFA for Graphic Design. all-the-while trying to grow my company… well for starters…get to the point where i can deal with the legal stuff and write off yarn purchases on my taxes =)
being a one woman machine gets tough but i wouldn’t have it any other way.
Today, I acquired a new Macbook from my best friend Nisa. And by acquired i really mean purchased. She was upgrading from her not so old Macbook. Put it this way, her macbook is an aluminum model purchased a little less than a year ago. She later confessed that her new purchase was an accident and managed to convince herself that she did need a laptop after all and never made the call to customer service to cancel her order. The plan was for me to acquire her laptop anyways, but she was originally planning on getting a 27″ iMac. i’ve been wanting to replace my old(a little over 3 years) black macbook, but didn’t have the funds to do it. I’m paying Nisa in installments which is a nice relief for my wallet. no worries about charging the hell out of my credit card. Oh how i’ve missed aluminum body, now if only Apple had kept the keys aluminum too. we can’t win them all.
so here’s the thing. i don’t know where my official blog is going to be. because sad thing is, becausemaybe on blogger is taken by some chick who hasn’t posted anything since 2005. i originally wanted to keep my official blog on tumblr simply because i think tumblr is much more flexible and cleaner. but these days, i’m also finding that a lot of people i follow are already on blogger and maybe i should just keep it up and just update 2 blogs? and no one checks lj anymore. i haven’t updated my lj in ages. ok maybe like 2 or 3 months. i don’t know. if anything i think twitter has killed blogging for me. it’s just much easier and faster.
